The technique I got the most out of was explaining a topic out loud as if I were teaching it to someone who knows nothing about it. Sounds silly sitting alone in my room talking to the wall, but the second I got stuck I knew exactly which bit I hadn't understood. I started doing it after every chapter and my notes got a lot shorter, because I finally knew what mattered. Chemistry went from my worst subject to the one I feel safest in.

I came in as someone who always studied hard but never smart, basically highlighting entire pages and hoping for the best. This course breaks down why that fails and gives you a real system for spacing out revision and testing yourself. The framework for building a study timetable before an exam is the part I use the most now. My only small gripe is that a few techniques are explained in theory, but I would have liked one or two more worked examples showing them applied to an actual subject.

I'd watched a ton of free study advice online but it was all scattered and half of it contradicted itself. Having one structured framework that goes from planning your revision right through to managing your time on exam day was exactly what I needed, and it saved me endless trial and error. The active recall and interleaving sections in particular are worth the effort. Each part builds on the one before instead of jumping around, so it was easy to actually follow through and keep the habits.

Turning my revision into practice tests instead of passive reading was the biggest takeaway. The course walks you through how to make your own quizzes from your notes. My scores on the mock exams jumped noticeably after I started doing it.
